Sunday Morning Run, Easy 8.5 Miles, Rolling Terrain

Starting from this post, I’ll be including running related quotes from famous runners before my actual blog post. This is to inspire each one of us to continue enjoying our running activities. The quote above immediately catches my attention when I was browsing through a site that list famous running quotes. Yes, I want to reap that reward and will live my life to enjoy it.

Having said all that, I now proceed with the post about my Sunday morning run. I was planning to take a different route today since I already run in Sumulong Hi-way yesterday. But I don’t want to miss the morning breeze of the Antipolo climate so I decided to run the same route again.

So, I did the last running routine for this week. It was supposed to be a 9 mile run as per my training plan, but I decided to turn back as soon as I reached the 4.2 mark. This will give me a total running distance of around 8.5 miles.

Overall it was a good run. I was using both my Garmin Forerunner 10 and Runkeeper on my iPhone to record my run. But somewhere along the way, Runkeeper went bonkers and gave me a different statistics. So, I decided to kill it off.

As for the Garmin Forerunner 10’s record, here’s my run details:

The good thing is that after the run, I was not too exhausted at all. So, it’s best to maintain an easy pace when running more than 10kms. I hope to apply this method next Sunday during the Sante Barley Domination Run 2013.
